This work explores the interplay of colour and layered glass through the act of drawing. As the elements merge and separate, they evoke tension and harmony found in human relationships. Materials engage in a dynamic dialogue, shifting boundaries and influencing each other, inviting viewers to see them not as static objects but as active agents of transformation and connection.
Anne Clifton (Australia, 1965) began her artistic journey in ceramics and later discovered glassmaking while working as a technical
assistant. Her practice evolved from layering vibrant colours in glass to exploring forms that reflect her ceramic roots. Blending traditional and experimental techniques, her work bridges materials and concepts, gaining recognition for its distinctive fusion and expressive depth.
