White Dreams is a glass sculpture of a delicate blouse, cast in a plaster-quartz mould. Representing a feminine garment without a body, it evokes a sense of absence and the tension between outward appearance and inner essence. The use of glass – both transparent and rigid – mirrors themes of vulnerability, strength, and the duality of femininity in a world that often values surface over substance.
Anat Weiss (Israel, 1964) lives and works in Israel, specialising in glass sculpture with a focus on texture and material contrast.
She trained in the Czech Republic and the U.S. under Petr Stacho, Joanna Manousis, and Ivana Šrámková. Her work explores themes
of motherhood, gender, and identity through glass casting. Weiss has exhibited extensively, including her 2020 solo exhibition Beyond the Fabric at the Mizgaga Museum in Israel.
