The artist uses glass waste, old destroyed forms from the glassworks, branches and tree bark. What appears as nothing – mere garbage – becomes the raw material for valuable sculptures, echoing the ancient alchemical dream of transforming the mundane into gold. The artist cares about respecting the dwindling resources of nature – trees from which short-lived forms for the glass industry are made.
