Tessa Sakhi. Monolith Whispers

Event organised by Tessa Sakhi

Tessa Sakhi has been experimenting with Venetian glass blowers to achieve innovative textures in glass since 2017. She sources discarded metals and raw materials from factories and infuses them within glass, creating unique forms, uncontrolled patterns and captivating reflections. The artist lets the creations evolve within the production process, testing glass' limits and embracing all surprises and accidents.

Tessa Sakhi (b. Lebanon, 1991) is an award-winning multidisciplinary architect and designer based between Venice and Beirut. Her work emphasises sensorial and social interactions through small-scale architecture, interior design, public installations and collectible objects. She collaborates with artisans from diverse cultures, fostering a dynamic exchange that encourages craftsmanship and innovation with a creative process that lies in her commitment to sustainability.
